After an avalanche every second counts. That is why this new locking-system saves valuable time when using the probe. With a new solution to clamp the steel or carbon rope, the handles, usually necessary to affix other systems, can be omitted. The handling is completely intuitive which minimizes the risk of misuse. The product graph allows easy removal after use.
The briefing of our agency by the client Ortovox, for the newly developed locking-system for avalanche probes, was decisively rudimentary:
The goal was to generate an innovation in the product category of the avalanche probes. Thereupon we focused exclusively on the locking-system of the probes and using a creative technique, the methodical search for analogies within similar problems, we encountered a rope tension used for the suspension of luminaires.
Meanwhile, we have been able to patent the system on both the European and the American market.
